This page explains what information ryanfitzsimmons.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

What I collect

• Mailing list. When you subscribe, I collect your email address and your consent to receive email from me. My email service, Mailchimp, also records technical details such as the date, time and IP address of your signup and confirmation. That serves as a record that you asked to join.
• Email activity. Mailchimp may record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. This helps me see what fans find useful.
• Messages you send. If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address and message.
• Browsing this site. This site does not run its own analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How I use it

• To send news about upcoming shows, new releases and other music updates.
• To reply when you get in touch.

I do not sell, rent or trade your information.

Mailchimp

The mailing list is run on Mailchimp, an Intuit company, which stores subscriber information on its servers in the United States. Mailchimp handles that information under the Intuit Global Privacy Statement.

Signup confirmation and spam protection

To keep fake signups off the list, every new subscriber gets an email asking them to confirm. After you click the confirmation link, you may be asked to complete a quick Google reCAPTCHA check. reCAPTCHA is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Content from other sites

Some pages include videos, posts, music players and show listings from YouTube, Facebook, Bandcamp and Bandsintown, and use fonts from Google Fonts. When you view those pages, these services may collect information such as your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask what information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing ryan@ryanfitzsimmons.com.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, I rely on your consent to send you email. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your information, to object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

How long I keep it

I keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp keeps your address marked as unsubscribed so you are not emailed again. If you would like it removed completely, just ask.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
